Board Members

The Unity Medical Center Foundation board consists of 12 voting members, including Unity Medical Center's Chief Nursing Officer and a liaison from the UMC governing board.

Individuals serving on the Unity Medical Center Foundation Board volunteer their time to assist with fundraising activities and related projects in the community. They decide where donors dollars are directed to best meet the needs of Unity Medical Center and its patients.

Non-voting members of the board include the UMC CEO and the Foundation staff (executive director and coordinator).

Interested in Joining Our Board?

Unity Medical Center Foundation board members meet on the second Tuesday of every month for one to 1.5 hours. 

Board members serve three-year terms that can be renewed twice. In other words:

  1. One three-year term 
  2. Renewed three-year term (six years total)
  3. Final three-year term (nine years total)

Three board members are selected to serve on the Finance Committee, which prepares a budget for the full board annually and reviews investment and endowment funds twice a year.

Board members are asked to attend all monthly meetings and four special events throughout the year:

  1. Giving Hearts Day open house (February),
  2. Friends of the Foundation Luncheon (April),
  3. Golf Tournament (July)
  4. Harvest Auction (November).

Board members encourage their friends and colleagues to participate as well.
