Cancer Screenings

Cervical Cancer

There are simple steps to take to prevent cervical cancer.

Screen regularly. Get a Pap test when you are due.

Vaccinate. The HPV vaccine protects against the types of HPV that cause about 90% of cervical cancer.

Cervical Cancer Screening Recommendations:

  • Recommended for people with a cervix beginning at age 21 every 3-5 years.
  • Recommended until age 65.
  • Age 66+ who have had regular cervical cancer testing in the past 10 years with normal results can stop testing.
